My favorite vacuum cleaner

I love this vacuum. I always buy Bissell vacuums and wanted a new lighter weight model for inside the house. I found this one on sale. I like that the cord is light, pliable and is wound up on the sided of the vacuum. The feature that allows you to choose low/high carpet is on the top of the handle. No bending over to twist a dial. I use it on the hardwood flooring and the throw carpets and it has excellent cleaning capabilities. The handle removes easily to vacuum in tight spaces, I often don't even bother with the attachments. It is quieter too. Easy lift off canister can be emptied into the garbage by just pressing the button release. The filters are easily removed and can be rinsed out. I always add a few drops of scented oil to the filter so that my homes has a fresh scent. The light on the front near the beater bars really highlights any dust and pet hair. This one is my favorite vacuum. My old Bissell got relegated to my patio are. It's years old and still working well.

Excellent Bissell Product

I have been using the turbo pet hair removal vacuum for quite awhile and I just love it. It not only picks up my pets hair but mine as well, I have really long thick hair. I've never had a problem with any of the parts, or with hair getting tangled in the rollers. I'd purchase this product again.

Second strike, not doing 3rd

Not worth it. Pet turbo sweeper stopped working again. I have 1 dog and he sheds a lot, but this cleaner has very few hours of use (approximately 15/20 hours) in the two or 3 years I’ve had it, and just like the last one, it stops turbo pet sweeping. Without that it will pick up the hair at an acceptable level. I threw it in the trash.

don't waste your money

stopped working less than 3 months from purchase. Overall cheap plastic quality.

A: The suction on the pole/wand is great, I don’t find the suction on the vacuum head part to be the greatest at least on hardwood.

A: Yes. There is a small brush for dusting and a long skinny piece that works well on baseboards. I find the hose is a little bit too short, but it works so well.

Q: Does this vacuum work well for picking up long human hair? Many vacuums in the past have burnt out due to hair easily becoming tangled in the beater bar

A: Thank you for rescuing! This vacuum is for dry cleaning only. The CrossWave vacuums and washes simultaneously eliminating the need to sweep and then mop your sealed hard floors and area rugs. Hope this helps!

Q: Do you have to purchase filters? Or just wash the one's that come with it? I have not bought this yet but the price and how often you have to change filters might be a deciding factor. What about filters for the future if this lasts a while?

A: This vacuum has two washable foam Pro-Motor filters part numbers 1603437 and 1601972. It also has a non-washable Post-Motor filter, part number 1606751. The filters should be replaced every 3-6 months and can be purchased through BISSELL online or over the phone at 1-800-263-2535.

A: Hi Kat - this model is not a lift-off design. It is light weight and has an upholstery hose and tools for cleaning stairs. It also has a brush on and off switch so you can turn off the spinning brush while using the upholstery hose. Thanks for asking!
