The oxygen tank is inadequate. It provides 1/4 of what it should. Gas control valve is too sensitive.

Torch Tip Melts & Non-Replaceable

I finally got to use this the other day after having it for over a year! The valve controls are touchy and the flame changes as the oxygen tank empties which it does too fast!
After using it for a period of time I noticed the flame changed. When I stopped to check it, the tip had melted!! I have been searching in the store and online for a replacement tip only to find out they aren’t replaceable! Like what kind of company designs a torch tip that screws off and is made so light and not have replacements!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
Don’t buy this cheap garbage!!
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Si vous utilisez le MAP Pro/Oxygène, il est possible de couper certains métaux avec le kit de chalumeau de brasage en fonction de l'épaisseur et du type de métal. A: Thanks for reaching out. Yes, this kit can solder an aluminum joint, but you must use AL3 aluminum brazing rods. We would recommend using MAP Pro/Oxygen fuel on this job.

Q: 1.)What is the run time on say medium setting ?........ 2.) How many Map/propane tanks before you have to replace the oxygen tank ?.....3.) Will it run on only Map or Propane ? 4.) can you substitute Propane for Map ? Feel free to add any aditional Info .

A: Well it takes a bit to get the oxygen & map/propane to sync effectively. Once going you generally have 15-30 minutes run time before you need replace the oxygen cylinder. 1 tank of either map/propane is good for about 4 hours continuous use. I've used both for with oxygen, I recommend to only use propane with oxygen.

Q: Can this be used to braze refrigeration copper tubes, as HVAC brazing rods require more heat than common water pipes.
