Obviously several years old

Bought line today and can tell right away it is very old and brittle. Canadian tire obviously keeps the line from previous years and tries to resell. It is not useable and tangles right away. Buyer beware. Take it out of box and check it is still smooth and flexible before buying. The quality of Canadian tire just keeps going down.

Great versatile line.

Excellent, versatile line. I have been fishing for 50 years and this line never fails to impress. It is easy to work with, strong and casts like no other. Every time a novice fisherperson asks me what line to use this is the one I recommend. It trolls well, casts great, is easy to tie and is not prone to tangling making a person's introduction to fishing a pleasant problem free experience. Leave the braids and highly temperamental or species-specific lines for your tournaments. If you want to increase someone's potential first experience with fishing as a positive one use this extremely versatile line.
