Comfy but styrofoam is fragile

My kid loves the helmet but then the styrofoam across the ear broke and is now garbage. It’s more like a single-impact bike helmet than a multi-impact hockey helmet that can be tossed in a bin. I don’t play hockey and didn’t spot this flaw when I bought it.

Q: Will this fit a 3 -years - old? Also, is it adjustable so it can be used for a few years?

A: The helmet can fit a three year old but it depends on their size of head. I would recommend bringing them into to store to try it on. It doesn’t have the same adjustment as higher end helmets but depending on size of head can normally last for many years.

Q: Can you remove the cage if not wanted? My daughter wants a pink helmet but no cage. Can you remove the cage if you don't want to use it?

A: Yes you can remove the cage by removing the 2 screws at the front top of the cage. We also offer the pink version of the helmet without the cage. It is sku 0832307

Q: Shield/cage? I know that there is a standard cage in black that Canadian Tire stocks for the Bauer Lil Sport helmets. Is there any way to get a silver one like the one pictured in this photo to better match and not stick out like a sore thumb?

A: We carry 2 Bauer cages in sizes small to large in silver: 83-5890 & 83-5893. These are different styles and designs, so it would be best to check the fit at store.
