The Attwood Tsunami 500 GPH Marine Aerator Pump prides itself on durability and reliability. The polymer inlet and body withstand the hull pounding stresses and harsh chemicals commonly found in marine environments, while the anti-air lock vanes allow the pump to regain prime quickly should an airlock occur. The water cooled housing reduces heat buildup, extending the working life of the pump for years of dependable performance.

I thought this would actually put bubbles into the water but it is little more then a trickle. Glad I purchased it on clearance for 5 bucks.

Easy to install, had one before but it sucked up a piece of fishing line and burned out the motor. That would be my only suggestion, supply an intake screen of some sort with the pump

Q: Is this pump submersible? My last pump filled with water and seized, so I want to ensure this one is submersible throught the transom beside bilge pump.

A: The pump is submersible. It will run underwater but, like a bilge pump, is not designed to operate exclusively underwater.
