Frying pan

Terrible pan. Lasted about 2 weeks but now everything sticks to it…can’t even cook eggs with oil in the pan without having to vigorously scrap the pan and lose half of my eggs. Disappointed.

A: Not sure who the "CanadianTireTeam" is ...but I bought this pan stupidly based upon their answer of if it would work on induction stoves. Clearly they do not know what an induction stove is because it most definately does not work on an induction stove. I should have read more about the make up as it is made from aluminum which does not work....Now I have to return the stupid thing....

Q: Is there a recall on Blue Diamond pans, and if so what is the recall for. I have been told at our Canadian Tire store that there is a recall but can not find it on the Blue Diamond Website

Q: These are advertised as being oven proof to 600°F yet in the specifications it lists safe oven temperature at 450°F. So why the discrepancy and what is the truth? Is this a case of false advertising?

A: This is not a case of false advertising but more of a case of protecting people and misuse of our product. Ceramic coatings are 100% natural and in essence, made of sand just like glass. Unlike traditional non-stick coatings, a ceramic coating can actually adhere to temperatures as high as 800F. The body of the vessel is aluminum and the handle is stainless steel which means that all materials can withstand high temperatures. It is 100% accurate that it is safe up to 600F and thus “broiler” safe. However, when partnering with our retailers, we often suggest 450F which is a standard oven temperature rather than the 600F so that consumers aren’t using them in BBQs or on fire pits. This opens up the door to other types of damages. I hope this addresses your concerns.
