The Artisan Fry Pan is made from 98% pure hand-cast aluminum with a non-stick coating so you can sear food to sizzling perfection every time. Prepare your favourites fast and easy on a high heat surface that won’t warp, buckle or bend. You can even use metal utensils. The pan is safe for use on all gas, electric, ceramic and halogen stove tops and is dishwasher safe.

Can’t believe it’s being discontinued:(

We’ve had a few of these, they last about 5 years in our family of 5 before someone uses too many metal forks, or even knives and wrecks the nonstick. Massive size allows us to fry 4-5 burgers at once. Nice thick aluminum base means even heat. For cooking meat this pan kicks the butt of Tfal or Heritage The Rock pans, which we also own. They seem to be discontinued in 2019, if you can find one, buy it!

I wrote a review in 2013 and these pans are still like new. If you are looking for a pan that cleans easy every time then you need these. Buying sets for my family for a Christmas.

Q: Should the pan be "seasoned" A lot of reviews mention that the pan should first be "seasoned" before use, but the product's directions/instructions do not appear to mention this. What does this mean and should the product be seasoned?

A: I have not found a reason to 'season' this pan because of the material and non-stick coating. It is not a cast iron pan afterall.

A: We do not carry open stock lids for the Heritage Artisan collection, however, there are covered frypans in the set (42-9320). You can also try the universal lids (42-8594) which fit most pots and pans in 8" (20 cm), 9" (24 cm) and 12" (30 cm) in diameter.
