Great Primer no issues

Really good primer for the price point. Everything else is really expensive. I reduced this primer 3:1 with mineral spirits and applied 3 coats allowing a few minutes to flash between. Sprayed with a HVLP gun and turned out great.

Q: Question: I How long will this excellent paint take to dry on an exterior steel door I painted? 2 coats applied. Label says 24 hrs, but still tacky after 18 hours. Its hot and humid outside here in Kingston. Ideas on how to speed drying? Thank You🙂

A: Thank You for the fast reply! Guess it will be a waiting game in between shift work. Perhaps I will use the aerosol Armor Paint in the same colour for the interior side, as I have used these products before with excellent results, and will dry much quicker. many Thanks from a happy customer

A: I used this paint on 125 year old painted galvanized shingle tins I purchased and reused on a gazebo 2 years ago. Excellent for coverage and still looks like new on the roof. I've also used this line of paint the boat trailer and other metal used outside. It is a great product in my opinion.

Q: Is it okay to paint the oil based rust paint primer over the water based rust primer from Armor Coat?

A: We would not recommend an Armor Coat waterbased primer be topcoated with the Armor Coat oil-based paint. These two products are not compatible, and using them together may result in a weakened paint coat prone to peeling. For your project, we recommend sticking with the same base, wether it is oil or water.
