Salt Strips no good out of the box

I bought this product to at the time I opened my pool. All the test strips were a bust. No colour change on all the strips. I ended up taking a water sample to the local pool supply for a salt reading. I still had good strips based off the salt strip expiry date

Garbage

Garbage!!!!!!! Waste of money!!! Salt cell was on its way out ( didn’t know it at the time) so I got these to check the salt. Didn’t even change. Ended up over salting my pool!!!! I would give no stars if that was an option

Inaccurate and difficult to read.

Inaccurate and difficult to read. That have been pretty much useless. Our salt generator says we need salt (which I believe is true) but the strips say our salt is high. I tried several strips and asked several others to judge the colour scale results and we all agree they were saying the salt was very high.

A: Bonjour, simplement comparer la couleur de votre languette de test avec la charte au dos de l'emballage. La charte est graduée de 1500 ppm (brun foncé) à 5000 ppm ( pratiquement blanc) . Merci

Q: I just dipped a test strip in my pool for 2 seconds. The reading gives me a light olive green colour, nothing like any of the colours on the strip. There is what should be plenty of salt in there. What is going on? Thanks for any info.

A: Normally, the indicator should be yellow/brown. If the chlorine is very high or pH is very low, it could influence the reading. We invite you to send a picture of your test at info@ctpool.com and we will get in touch with you.
