Weak construction

Purchased this to replace a skimmer basket with no grab handle. In less than a week, the skimmer filled with debris (as expected) and suction from the pump pulled this skimmer basket into the housing and wedged itself. It is a poor design in thickness of the plastic, but also there is no raised lip on the edge of the basket top. it is flat all the way around. My old basket had a lip on one side that added some flow relief for a debris-full basket. Due to the nature of the design flaw, I had to use a pry bar to carefully break it apart to get it out of my skimmer housing, without damaging the box. Money down the drain.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hi ronny,
I am sorry to hear about your experience with the skimmer basket. This is a durable item and this is the first that we have heard of it getting stuck in the housing. There are limitations to what the basket can handle for debris and I would suggest if it is full to try and check it more than once a week.
