I loved these containers for a number of reasons: the variety of sizes and shapes, the eco-friendliness, the ability to use them in the microwave, oven, and freezer, and the ability to replace damaged lids until an almost invisible thin chip of glass stuck into my hand. Afterwards, I carefully inspected all the containers and discovered numerous small chips that weren't even visible to the naked eye. Concerned that glass fragments might end up in the food, I decided to get rid of all the containers and replace them with ceramic ones.

Q: replace a lid the lid of this container is so easy to be damaged by microwave. I am wondering if I can buy the lid only somewhere.

A: I would try to find the Pyrex lids (they are compatible and of better quality). They sell replacement lids BECAUSE they are so poor. My Anchor Hocking replacements only lasted a month before they went again. My Pyrex lids lasted over 20 years.

A: They are hot because the contents get hot and heat up the glass. These containers are approved for microwave, dishwasher and oven.
