Q: Do You Have Any Revews On Glueing Steel Auto Boty Panles

A: There are no reviews that are particular to gluing steel body panels but Amazing GOOP Automotive bonds easily to a wide variety of materials, including metal. For best results, the surface should be roughened before use. Always ensure the surface(s) are clean, dry, and free from dirt before applying. On non-porous material, we recommend that the product be applied to each substrate, allow drying for 2 minutes and then mating the two pieces together.

Q: Can this be used to seal leaks on the bottom of a boat? I have a few leaky rivets below the water line that I wanted to cover up with silicone, but I've been hearing that this stuff is pretty good and may do the job better.

A: This sku would work okay but the manufacturer has suggested using their Marine product (#079-0122) instead it has UV inhibitors in it, which will extend its life.

Q: J'ai utilisé la colle AUTOMOTIVE GOOP pour coller du tissus dans mon auto! Je suis enceinte et je me demandais si c'était nocif pour moi et le bébé! C'est mon père qui l'appliqué! On a laissé séché toute la nuit les fenêtre ouvertes! Une fois qu'elle st sèche est-ce encore toxique??? Merci beaucoup! Je suis peut-être inquiète pour rien mais j'aime mieux pas prendre de chance!

Q: Goop Removal What is the best method to remove this once it has already settled on your car without damaging the clearcoat/paint? Does goo-gone and a heat gun work well enough?

A: The manufacturer advises that Goo Gone and some light heat might be the best bet. You must be careful to only apply a small amount directly on the glue and let it soften a bit first. You may want to use a Q-tip to apply the Goo Gone. The manufacturer has also used a small blade cutting knife to just start to get a corner of the glue to lift and then you should be able to pull the adhesive back. This product has an elastic type tendency and should be able to peel off. It does not harden the way most other glues do.
