Q: 1. Can you use it on Duradek? 2. ALSO, is it more effective to put it on driveways, walkways when they are dry or wet?? 3. If it rains before it snows, will it still be effective??

A: Hello Joseph, we don't recommend using Alaskan Premium Ice Melter on vinyl surfaces. Depending on how much your surface is wet, the ice melter can dissolve. We recommend you use this product when there is ice or hard snow to melt and avoid putting it down before a rainfall as it will waste it. Thank you!

A: Hello, Ice melters are relatively safe to pets, but a few precautions should be taken to protect them as well as floors and carpets. Animals like salt, and it is a good idea to prevent pets from licking ice melter granules. To prevent pets from tracking residue on floors and carpets, keep a rag or towel near the door and wipe ice melter residue from their paws. We also recommend that you keep them indoors while an ice melter is being employed, and until the treated area has been shoveled clear, and allowed to dry With shovelling, sweeping and allowing the area to dry, before returning you pets to the area, it greatly reduces the exposure of the briny solution to their paws.

A: hello Redhawk, No we do not recommend using Alaskan Ice melt on stamped/patterned concrete driveways. Please check the label on the bag and or container for more information on recommendations, precautions and instructions. You can use our liquid Alaskan ice preventer on your driveway as a preventative measure. Again always check the label beforehand for instructions and precautions. Thank you
