Don’t buy this product it is defective and dangerous

As previous purchasers have reported, the glass shattered in first five minutes of use, releasing glass and the liquid from inside thermometer into the cooling oil. Dangerous and useless. I’m waiting for a response from Canadian tire to get a refund.

Les chiffres disparaissent !

Après une seule utilisation déjà le quart des chiffres sur le thermometre ont disparu ... je devrai me servir d'un crayon feutre pour indiquer les températures sur l'objet en espérant que ca tienne ... Bien décevant ! Aussi c'est impossible de ramener l'article car on doit détruire complètement l'emballage juste pour en extraire le thermomètre. Je m'en servirai quand meme mais je devrai prendre un crayon feutre pour inscrire directement sur le thermometre les temperatures qui disparaissent toutes seules à l'utilisation.

VERY POOR QUALITY

It only went up to temp of 180 degrees, for jams, jellies you need a temp of 220
degrees.... not acceptable... do not waste your time or frustration of ruining your preserves!

Q: How do I measure with it? Do I immerse the whole thing? There is no probe from the picture.

A: Sorry for the late answer. The probe actually comes with a clip, so the probe "skewers" through the metal clip that hangs on to the rim of your pot. Hope that helps!
