Absolute Junk.

Purchased in Oct. 2020 and used it twice. 2nd time the reading was way off. Now, I have brought it out to use again for BBQ and it has the dreaded HHH error. Reset proved useless. I'm hoping Canadian Tire will step up and warranty this item as it has a 2 year warranty and CTC had a 1 year exchange in store warranty. Unfortunately no in store shopping right now due to lock-down. Hey CTC, how about curb side exchanges !!! I need a functioning thermometer for cooking meat. Seems like many reviewers have the same issue so another same unit will also likely fail in a short period of time. Perhaps this is why this is no longer available.

Measures air temperature, not meat temperature

The probe is huge and it seems to pick up readings all the way up the cable. So the probe reads as the temperature of the oven as soon as I close the door. At this moment I have it ready a frozen chicken in the oven as 185f

Didn’t trust it, quit working in 1 year

Got this as a gift, the temperature seemed to reach its set point early and I often relied on my old thermometer that can’t be left in the oven. In under a year it only reads 400F so the probe is junk. Save your money.

Q: how do i switch from C to F ?

A: The temperature is displayed either in °C or °F. To select Fahrenheit or Celsius, remove the battery cover on the back of the unit and press the small gray button below the bottom battery.

Q: Picture with packaging indicates 8 pre-programmed meat and 5 doneness levels and you indicate 9 meats and 3 doneness levels in the product description. What are the right indications.
