Usually great, last box has loose fibres you can breathe in

I have been buying these masks for a while and have been really happy with them. This last batch seems to have. Lot of little loose fibres that I keep breathing in and then coughing out.

Q: Does this mask provide the same level of protection 3M #8511 (which is more expensive)? Do all N95 masks provide the same level of protection against COVID?

A: *Disclaimer: not a medical expert* my understanding is that the difference between the 8200 and 8210(8211) is how the straps are attached. Both are rated N95 and the 8200 has the NIOSH verification number (the 8211 should also have a number you can verify online). It is not rated for medical use/grade which are intended to increase the resistance to liquid droplets in close contacts with patients, but these are very good for fine particulates and should work well for most public situations that are not medical (see disclaimer). The important thing to remember with any mask is to have a good tight fit around the nose, tops and sides of cheeks, and chin.
