I've been using another product for moss treatment on our roof for years. That product is now not available locally or provincial to my knowledge. Which lead to a long search for a replacement. Looking at a range of home-made-mixes to commercial alternatives, I decided to try this product, Spray & Walk Away. Living on Vancouver Island we get a wet & grey winter which moss and mildew stuff loves. The label also showed the info as being from Port Coquitlam, BC(Canadian). Our roof is too steep to climb on and apply with a hand pump bottle. I needed a hose mounted broadcast applicator which comes in a two litre version. The two litre was not enough, so I purchased the 3.78 litre jug and reused the two litre version for further application. Applied with a conscious respect for the weather forecast as well. One big concern of mine was that the product not damage or stain surrounding painted surfaces on our house. I saw no damage or staining. Our 20+ year old roof is in a good state because of regular treatments. This is the first year with Spray & Walk Away and what little moss we had has died off. For me the available broadcast version, along with no damage to surrounding painted surfaces, plus early results = Thumbs Up! I would recommend it.

Literally does nothing.
I don’t know if they had to change their ingredients due to regulations or whatever, but 20 years ago this stuff used to MELT moss off roofs.
I sprayed the heck out of a small patch of moss on my roof and 24 hours later it’s still greener than the grass on my lawn.
30 second moss remover? No scrub? lol, no.

Q: Can i spray that product on sunbrella?

A: The product is not a bleach based product, so there should be no colour fast issues. However we do recommend trying a small test patch on fabrics.

Q: Would this work on stone? As in a walkway over portions of moss-covered rock. It can get slippery with the moss and lichen.

A: Yes, it will work. However, it is slow acting, and the fastest ( safest ) way for the walkway is the Outdoor Cleaner (048-8897). If you are concerned about the Outdoor Cleaner affecting the look of the mossy stones, then a quick rinse of that area with a hose before and after applying is the answer.

A: This product works well on vinyl siding. Spray it on and leave it. The green and algae will dry up, turn to powder and then can be hosed off.

Q: Is this product safe for pets (cat) I want to spray it on my patio moss. I am wondering what happens if he licks his paws after walking on the patio. What precautions, if any do I have to take?

A: When first applying the product, it is important for pets to stay inside. The product is absorbed by the organics and then left to work. After 12 hours or so, it is fine for the pets to be outside as the product has been completely absorbed.
