They didn’t have the orange low voltage mounting bracket so I had to pick this one, it’s flimsy but does the job.

Not very enthused about these devices. Not very easy to work with. Clumsy and the way they attach to the drywall allows the device to move around very easily. I will only use them if I am in a pinch. I do not recommend the product.

Hi. The price was liveable, the more expensive ones have holes in the flaps so you can really tighten them in. But all and all it worked fine. For now. If it comes loose, then I’ll order the ones with holes on line.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: I’ve worked as a residential electrician for a couple years now and am familiar with the plastic data rings for low voltage. Do these mount the same way? What is the “M” shaped grill for. I prefer the metal boxes so i’m considering these as an upgrade

    • A: The CTC# 052-1876 Hubbell Mounting Bracket supports 3 in. x 2 in. switch boxes when mounted to a stud. It mounts standard Low-Voltage wall plates, old work or new work. The mounting bracket is for a single gang.
