A necessary must for renovations

These electrical boxes are convenient with tabs to sett the depth for ½” drywall. They also have a foam layer around the box to seal from cold drafts. Once installed, I cut the tabs off that are touching the studs to prevent drywall from possibly breaking/cracking due to a screw being installed too close. Being plastic gives a little more safety in the case of the unlikely event of a loose wire , due to a mistake or mishap.
