The shipping and handling fee is based on an item’s size, total order weight, delivery type as well as delivery address. Additional charges apply for add-on services such as assembly/installation, room of choice delivery or removal of packaging.

On the products details page, we show an estimated shipping cost once you click on the See
Delivery Options and Estimated Shipping Costs after you enter an eligible postal code. The estimator will calculate an estimated shipping and handling fee for the item currently displayed. Final shipping fees will be determined based on the total content of your cart and displayed during the checkout process.

Basic Delivery for Large Items: 
• For detached or semi-detached homes, the product will be delivered as close to the house as possible.
• For condominiums, apartments and office buildings, the product will be delivered to the concierge or reception area. 
• At time of delivery, customers can indicate a preference for first dry area, backyard, up and down 3 steps and porch delivery at no extra charge.

Room of Choice:
• The product will be delivered to a room of the customer’s choice inside the delivery location.

Room of Choice & Packaging Removal:
• The product will be delivered to a room of the customer’s choice inside the delivery location. 
• Packaging will be removed by the vendor and taken off the premises. This doesn’t include assembly/installation of the product unless that service was available and purchased during the checkout process.

To confirm if a product is eligible for online home delivery, check for the Ship to Home icon on the product page. To confirm if we ship to your home address, select See Delivery Options and Estimated Shipping Costs.

We strive to make as many products available for shipping as possible but due to handling considerations some items cannot be shipped – this includes hazardous goods, freezable items during cold periods and other items that cannot safely be shipped. These items are only available for in-store purchase or purchase for in-store pickup.

At this time, Ship to Home is only available in select markets but will be available in all areas by October 30. Note: large items will only be available for delivery within 100km of a store. 

Due to tax requirements, we are unable to ship across provincial borders at this time.
When will my order be shipped?

When will my order be shipped?

Typically, if an item is in stock, it will ship in 1-2 business days from when you order it. Delivery times will depend on your distance from the store and will average 1-4 business days, You will be provided with a tracking number when your product ships.

Any product that weighs more than 30 kgs (66 lbs) or is sized taller/wider than 305 cm (120 inches) will require a delivery appointment. You will be contacted to schedule a date once your order has been processed. Customers will need to be present and sign for these deliveries.
How will I know when my order has shipped?

When your order ships, we’ll send you an email with a tracking number. If there are several items, multiple shipments may be necessary and you will receive multiple confirmation emails.

For bulky items, you will be contacted to schedule a delivery appointment within 2 business days of being notified your order is ready to ship.

At this time, we do not ship outside of Canada.

We can only accept one shipping address per order. If you are ordering products to send to multiple shipping addresses, please place separate orders.

“Yes, provided they live within our delivery area. To see if an address is eligible, select See Delivery Option and Estimated Shipping Costs on the product page and enter the postal code.
What if some of my items are not available for home delivery?

For items not available for Ship to Home, you can place an order and go to the store to pick up the entire order, or have only the eligible items delivered.

In the shopping cart, select Ship to Home. You will be notified of items that are unavailable for Ship to Home.
Can I return products that were delivered to me?

Can I return products that were delivered to me?

Yes, you can return items to any Canadian Tire store within 90 days of purchase. All products must be in original condition and packaging, and be accompanied by a receipt. Use our Store Locator to find the store nearest you. 

If you cannot return items to a store, contact Online Customer Support at 1-866-746-7287 and we will schedule a pick-up of your item at your home, free of charge. For complete details, see our Returns Policy, which outlines all exclusions and exceptions.

Please note that original delivery fees are not refunded when a return is processed.
How can I change or cancel my order?

How can I change or cancel my order?

You can modify your cart at any time prior to payment processing. If you need to cancel your order once it has been placed, follow these steps after signing into your account: select Account from the top menu and go to Order History; select Cancel Order to cancel the entire order or Remove to delete an individual item from your order. 

We’ll do everything we can to accommodate your request if your order has not already been processed. Orders can’t be cancelled once they’ve been shipped – you will need to return unwanted items to a Canadian Tire location after they’ve been delivered.
What should my package contain when I receive home delivery?

What should my package contain when I receive home delivery?

Your package will contain a packing slip, as well as the items that were listed on your shipment confirmation email. If your shipment email contains multiple tracking numbers, the sales receipt for the entire order will arrive in the last box. You can expect to receive a package for each of the tracking numbers received.

To keep the delivery process fast, we ship items as soon as they are ready. Your order may arrive in multiple shipments and you will receive tracking details via shipment confirmation emails as items are processed. If you’ve ordered a bulky item, you will be contacted to schedule a delivery appointment.

Once your order has been packaged and is ready to ship, you will be contacted to schedule a delivery appointment. Items are delivered to the exterior of the home unless the In-home Delivery or In-home Delivery and Unpack were chosen in the checkout process. Please note these deliveries will require a signature to confirm that you’ve received your order.
