The Lumax Universal Push-Type Grease Gun can be used in many different applications and configured to supply multiple types of lubricants. The lubricant reservoir can be filled with almost any grease, and it can also be filled with alternative lubricating fluids. The unit is packaged with two delivery nozzles - one designed to work like a traditional grease gun, and a second nozzle designed to deliver fluid based lubricants. Additionally, it works as a dispenser of light lubricating oil and penetrating oil commonly needed while servicing small engines and equipment such as chainsaws and other outdoor equipment. It's compatible with many types of machinery and equipment, including automobiles, lawn and garden equipment, trailers, snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, industrial/farm equipment and boats.

Q: How do I load the grease into the gun: Lumax 1174?

  • A: Please follow the steps below. You may also call Customer Relations at 1-800-387-8803 to request a copy of the manufacturer's instructions. 1. Unscrew black cap. 2. Grasp tip (near red cap) of gun while also holding handle (white) and pull open. 3. You can now fill white handle with grease or heavier oils and replace top. a.Grease can be loaded by partially inserting open end of white handle before pulling – this will suck grease into handle. b.Use another grease gun to fill c. Use a skinny, flat tool (or butter knife, spoon, etc…) to scoop and pack into handle. 4. Replace cap 5. To grease – put appropriate tip (concave for reg. grease fittings & pointed for recessed fittings like on chainsaws) onto fitting and push with your palm on the black end of handle. The unit is spring loaded, and you simply pump (push in and out) the tool.
