I bought two of these knives. Within a month of receiving them, the lock mechanism on both knives failed. The knives will not lock open, nor remain closed.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Why does Canadian Tire continue to sell a product that is obviously flawed when something breaks the same way for almost everyone who buys it that item should be discontinued unbelievable how cheap the products from Canadian Tire are these days

A: This is a lockback knife - To close the knife, push down on the exposed part of the spine to pop up the part of the spine in contact with the blade. This disengages the lock, allowing you to swing the blade to a closed position.
