We use this litter locker in our 22 ft trailer. It does the trick and is a great invention! It is like a diaper pail.

Q: Could I use a regular grocery bag or kitchen catcher garbage bag in place of the refill (to line the compartment w/ the used litter)? Reviews mentioned that refills get pricey, so I hoped if I bought this, to save a bit on cost by using regular bags. I realize smells may not be contained as well, but I would accept this compromise, to save on cost and hassle of buying refills..

A: I have one, 10 lb cat and get about 9 weeks per refill. Obviously the cost increases with a multi-cat household but a few dollars a month is still reasonable considering there is no odour.

Q: Are the bags biodegradable?

A: The reason for any bags to be biodegradable is - to send the contents for municipal composting. And animal waste should not go for composting, in my opinion.

Q: How exactly does this work - refill looks like a disc? Considering it for my kitty but unsure.... Also wondering - could you use a regular grocery bag or kitchen catcher garbage bag in place of the refill (i.e.to line the chamber that holds the soiled litter)?

A: I wondered about this myself. It doesn't say how many bags it comes with, but that's because it's one continues bag. You pull the bag out and tie the end in a knot, then when it's full you cut it (cutter is provided inside) then tie that end. Hope that helps!

Q: Would this unit work for Green Bin Waste? Just wondering as the Green Bin I use in the kitchen smells after only a short time especially in the Summer heat. Perhaps this is too small...not sure but it looks like a great product!!

Q: Would this work for dog waste bags? I’m looking for a container to dispose of my dogs waste (in bag) as a regular garbage can doesn’t contain the smell.
