    Questions

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: Is Crystal Softener Salt the same as Windsor Salt? I need more salt for my North Star System water softener system. The manufacturer instructions say NOT to use rock or granulated salt or a product with iron removing additives. Does this product meet their requirements please? Thanks.

    1 Answer
    • A: If your softener is a zeolite-based softener, Sifto Crystal Plus cannot be used in the system. The manufacturer of the resin states that the additive will destroy the resin and void the warranty. If it is a zeolite-based softener, you will need to use untreated salt to avoid damaging it.
