The Claire Torchiere Floor Lamp offers a clean, simple design offset by the elegant shades on both lights. The base and tube feature a gleaming chrome finish while the shades for each light are a combination of frosted and clear plastic that gently diffuses light creating an appealing glow in any room.

Pleasantly surprised

My husband came home with this lamp by mistake...it was another one he was supposed to get...and when I read "plastic", I thought...no way! However, they look AWESOME! It has a mid-century vibe and I love the versatility of it. One light or the other or both, and I can direct the light where I need it. I want another one now!

Has its pros and cons.

Pros: Looks good, small torchiere for limited spaces, unique design. Plastic is safe if you knock it over. Cons: Clear plastic outer shade is scratched up even when new (i bought several, all come scratched). Plastic can also melt, even the demo one in the store melted. The small tochiere top is actually a light limiting design, it provides less light than an open top floor lamp with a similar bulb because there is less direct light from the bulb to the ceiling. You can put in a brighter blub, max 100w for main light, however it seems hard on the eyes as its more direct light then. Overall: looks nice, but not terribly functional. Would not buy again.

Bad quality plastic shade

I was happy with my floor lamp until the superior plastic shade melted. This is not supposed to happen with a product that cost almost $100. I DO NOT recommend it.
