Q: WHAT IS THE MAXIUM WEIGHT THIS HITCH CAN TOW AND IF IT CAN BE INSTALLED ON A 2002 PONTIAC GRAN PRIX GT
14 years agoA: Be careful. The hitch may be rated for 2000lbs but the actual towing capacity of your Gran Prix will be determined by the engine size and vehicle weight. Towing capacity is usually listed in your owners manual. According to the one line version the maximum towing capacity listed for a 2002 Gran Prix is only 1000lbs. So check your manual before you blow an engine or a transmission towing up hill.
