Had now for less than a year!

Got this compressor in spring of 2019 used it 20 times from blowing up air mattresses to swim tubes and truck tires ran it 20 mins without issues. However you must have car/truck running when using . as it will blow fuses if voltage is nit 12v or greater! so a lot if negative reviews stem from this prob.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good... while it works..

Good... while it works. Yes, I've had it two years, used it about 20 times... now it will not work and, of course, the warranty has expired. Money wasted. Another item for the landfill.

Works as advertised, never had an issue

Maybe I just got lucky with mine but its unfortaunte seeing so many negative reviews on this product. I developed a slow leak in my cars tire after running over a nail in Nov 2018, it was very slow and I don't drive much so I decided to purchase this compressor on sale. I've used it about once a week for the past 6months in varying weather, its worked fine every single time. It is true the screen doesn't work when its very cold outside but you can change the cut-off psi preset and it still works. Maybe I just got lucky, but this is a great product from my experience.

Use all the time for years

Feel obliged to write a review because of all the poor ratings. I’ve had mine for several years and use it all the time. I use it every spring and winter when temperature changes for both mine and my wife’s vehicles. I use it regularly for our bikes as well. I also use it to inflate the suspension in my bike. It stores easily in my spare tire compartment in the trunk and has been used in all temperatures (well below zero). I think the reason some people may be experiencing poor performance is because they do not have their car running when using the pump. No need to have the car running for a quick bike tire inflate, but if you’re going to do all 4 tires in the winter, you’re going to have to start your car to maintain voltage/performance. I love this thing. Super easy to use. You set the desired pressure and it stops automatically. No guess work. I bought one for my brother’s birthday because it’s so great. I got a flat tire once and my spare wasn’t inflated. But I had this to save me. A friend got a flat (pin-hole leak) just out of town without a spare tire, I came with the eliminator and saved them a costly towing charge. I honestly can’t recommend this enough.

Q: Does this plug into the car cigarette lighter? I am looking for a car compressor that can be kept in the trunk and feed off the cars cigarette lighter to inflate car tires and paddle board.

Q: How Many Amps does this draw? - Product #09-5031-8

2 Answers
  • A: This pump has a very high stall current. To avoid blowing 15 amp car fuses, I set the target pressure and start the pump *before* screwing it on to the tire valve. That eliminates the high stall current that blows fuses. Since I started doing that, I haven't popped another fuse. Once the pump is running, its current draw stays well below 15 amps.

Q: Is there a way to calibrate or recalibrate this compressor? It seems to over-inflate a few PSIs above the number that is shown on the display. E.g. set it to 32psi, wait until done then check with a diff. tire pressure monitor, actual pressure = 35-36.

1 Answer
  • A: It is not possible to re-calibrate the this MotoMaster 12V Premium Air Compressor. This is by design, to prevent accidental changes to the calibration of the unit.

Q: What adapter do I need to run on household current?

1 Answer
  • A: If you want to use household current, you need a AC/DC Converter, similar like attached one. It can decrease the 120 Volt to 12 Volt. But the converter must have power than 150W to run 09-5031.
