Questions

Q: Is this enough to hold my 2009 Honda Civic Sedan?

3 Answers
  • A: 2-tons doesn't convert to 2000lbs although the 1,814.37kg is right. That would be 4000 pounds. So technically both would support a total of 8000 pounds. Bear in mind that your car's weight is never going to be fully on one stand so even if your car is 4000 pounds, it will still be less weight on the stand itself because the other wheels on the ground are supporting the weight. Short answer, you'll be fine.

Q: Is the lift capacity for each stand or for the pair? Some manufacturers announce the lift capacity for the pair (Pro-Lift specifies that in there Owner's Manual)!!!

Q: Will the 2-ton verson hold my Van? Will the cheaper option hold my Honda Odysey or Nissan Maxima sedan?

2 Answers
  • A: It depends. Please verify the curb weight of each vehicle and cross-check with the load capacity. 2-Tons converts to 2000lbs (or 1,814.37kg), for a total of 4,000 pounds across both stand. Your van will definitely weight more than 4,000 pounds, so we would recommend the 3-Ton stands.

Q: How do I use this? If I am understanding the usage of this device properly, you would first jack up one side of the car then place one beside the jack, lower jack and repeat on the other side?

2 Answers
  • A: Yes, that is correct. Be sure to only to use the jacking points designated by the vehicle manufacturer.

Q: Where exactly are these placed? Are there a special notches under every car made especially for these devices?

2 Answers
  • A: Yes; however, the location can differ slightly depending on the vehicle. Be sure to only to use the jacking points designated by the vehicle manufacturer. Generally, the jacking points are located along the side of the chassis, usually indicated by an indented circle, which you can see when bending over.

Q: how much does the 2 pack weigh? i cant figure this out!

  • A: Depends on the model - try it out at the store! They're quite heavy, but for a good reason! A grown man can carry one 6 ton stand in each hand, but it's definitely not light with the cast iron saddle post.

Q: Will the 3 ton jacks support an F350? 07 F350 4x4 non dually.

2 Answers
  • A: NO!!! It may well hold, but this vehicle is way over in GVW, furthermore, considering how tall this pickup is, the 3 ton stand is way too short and narrow at the base. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Q: are these by the same manufacturer as the ones Harbour Freight is recalling in the US

1 Answer
  • A: No, we do not have reason to believe our jack stands are affected and our current supplier has confirmed this. Additionally, the factory we purchase our jack stands from does not supply items under recall with retailers in the USA. Please know, the issue with the recall is with the design of the ratchet and our jack stands have a more robust design than those under recall. We hope you find this reassuring while reviewing our current assortment.

Q: Im wondering if the six ton are each 6 ton or they both equal 6 ton

1 Answer
  • A: The weight capacity of our Certified Jack Stand pairs are rated for a combined load distributed across the pair (2pcs) of Jack Stands, not per piece/stand. The 6-ton stands are rated for 5,443 KG distributed across the pair of two stands.
