I’m glad I chose Wilson’s mouse out, being able to refill them. They have better access than the other small ones that you could buy that are disposable. I filled them a couple times and now nobody’s hungry anymore. If you know what I mean., all gone.

Q: When the mouse eventually dies, will the carcass start to smell? For example, if they mouse dies in a wall cavity, will that area smell?

A: Hello Timothy, If they should die in the wall from the bait, there should be very little smell as this product does cause the rodents to dry up when dead. The are only a few exception to this rule and that is when external moisture is present such as under a hot tub, under a leaky shower stall or in a wet basement, then there will be a smell and the carcass will have to be removed. Also, is if the adult rodents are killed off leaving the nest of young to die naturally which again would require the removal of the young carcasses. https://www.wilsoncontrol.com/rodent-control/mouse-out/reusable-mouse-bait-station-warfarin. The warfarin will dry out or desiccate the mouse before dying. However, depending on the size of the mouse, there could be some smell after death, lasting no more than a week or two. If this is a concern, I would suggest a Fast Set Mouse trap - then you will be able to dispose of the mouse when caught.

A: Hello Shan, The Wilson Warfarin Mouse Poison Bait Station Kit is formulated using Cellulose from Powdered Corn. The way it works is that brings about dehydration, ultimately resulting in death by interfering with the rodent’s digestive system. There is no poison or anti-coagulant involved with this product. Due to the unique way that rodents' process food, it is vital that it be used indoors only, and be the sole food source for approximately 3 to 5 days. It coats the lining of a part of the rodent’s lower gut. This coating disrupts the message system to the rodent’s brain causing it to stop drinking. Q: Will this work outside where they have other food sources? And how long it will take for the mouse to die after eating it?

A: I don't think this type of poison requires that they feed exclusively off of it. The rats in my house likely had access to other food sources and it worked on them. It took two weeks of consistent feeding and replacing the poison for the rats to die.

Q: The Warfarin Mouse Poison Bait station Kit is for indoor use. Once the mouse consumes the poison, will a cat consume it from the mouse if it eats it.

A: Hello Annie, it is called secondary poisoning and it is really rare. Your cat would need to ingest a lot of dead carcasses in order to get sick. Thank you.

Q: Is this product true warfarin or "Wilsarin"? I have used Wilsarin before and the mouse problem got worse...didn't work at all! By chance, I found some warfarin blocks and this reversed the problem. However, I am running out and need true warfarin!

A: The active ingredient in Wilson Wilsarin (059-1964) is warfarin. Wafarin is now considered less potent, as many rodents have developed a partial immunity to its effects in some areas of Canada. You may want to try Diphacinone (Tomcat or Victor brand) or Bromethalin (Tomcat brand) if you are finding the Warfarin to be ineffective.
