Good tape, stops leaks

The tape worked very well for my leaking water pipe. It was tricky to unroll the tape and remove the plastic backing initially, but got it sorted.

Excellent

Did the repair job just fine. Gas thieves bypassed my locking gas cap by cutting open the hose going into gas tank. Using a small hose they syphoned the gas. Hose repair done with product.

Couldn't fix my garden hose

I used this to fix a hose in a garden hose (Gardena hose reel) and it blew up like a balloon and popped!

Hello Denis, thank you for your review. Regarding fixing an issue with your garden hose, it will depend on the amount of pressure, the size of the break wear there is a leak and if for a leak several layers of the tape would be needed.

Thank you

Q: Can I use this on a propane with a small leak in it?

  • A: Hello Scott, thank-you for the question. We do not recommend that VersaChem Wrap-It Self Fusing Tape is used to contain or repair any type of flammable and explosive gas hoses or pipes, including propane hoses. In fact damaged propane hoses (or any other flammable gas hose) should always be replaced with a new one and the old one cut in half and disposed of in accordance with local municipal waste regulations. If you have any other questions or inquiries please let us know at https://www.permatex.com/contact/. Thank you.
