Q: Can this be used for any lock? A car ignition tumbler for example?
3 years agoA: No. This is for preventing rust from spreading. Its perfect for that. Graphine or possibly wd40 for your lock.

3 years agoA: No, you can't paint the surface after applying the product. Paint will not adhere to any surface coated by this product.

4 years agoA: Yes. But it’s messy. It never cures and it will get on your hands when you touch it. But, it prevents rust.

Q: What do you use to clean it with before painting
9 years agoA: I think you meant " how do you remove it oncd applied, if you intend to paint that same area ? Use a towel , rag or clotb to wipe off excess rustproofing. . Remove the remaining film with mineral spirits . Remove all rust loose paint with wire brush , I even wipe down with alcohol ... then ypur paint should adhere .

10 months agoA: Hello there , Rust Check will slow down rust by displacing moisture, but it won’t stop or seal existing rust completely. For best results, clean off loose rust first and optionally use a rust converter before applying. Please contact your nearest store for more information. Thanks

2 years agoA: Unfortunately, it is not recommended for this application. The oils in this product may be absorbed by the rubber tires. This may affect both tire performance and the seal between tire and rim.
