Remote Starter

Wife bought for Christmas, requires separate interface module. Tried to get installed at canadian tire auto centre. They refused. Said they don't service these any more. Waste of time and money.

The fob is it's worst downfall

Nearly have to break a nail to get the start button to work. Comes with only one fob. Have lost the fob and Canadian Tire doesn't have any spares in stock that work with the unit I have installed. They will not deliver from a different store to my location. I have spent a small fortune for a remote starter I can't use.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Hi. Will this work with a 2014 Honda Accord Touring (electric push button start)? Does it have to be professionally installed?

A: I believe this unit will work in your vehicle but best to to have a professional install this unit except you have prior experience with installations. There are units in the market that are near plug and play or that come with instructions the average DIYer can install. Not this unit. Best to have a pro do it.

A: It does but it doesn’t matter. There is 1 company now producing remotes worldwide. Production is shut down for the foreseeable future because of the chip shortage. They are difficult to find now.

A: The remote start is a universal piece that can be fitted in most gas powered vehicles, including your 2005 Civic. But your vehicle is equipped with a transponder system that will need to be interfaced using an additional part # 34-0790. Make sure this module is programmed for your car before leaving the store.
