Bought this hacksaw for a project I had in mind but haven't used it yet, it feels like it's built strong and I like that it came with a variety of saw blades for different applications. I gave 4 stars because I haven't used it yet.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: I lost the white blade for my saw and I can’t seem to find replacement blades

    1 Answer
    • A: You can use any 12" bi-metal hacksaw blade. The white blade was 24 TPI (teeth per inch), so if you want the exact same, that's what you should look for. Here are some options: Mastercraft Bi-Metal Hacksaw Blades (3pk) - Product # 057-7448 (3 x 24 TPI blades) or you could buy an assorted pack: Lenox Bi-Metal Hacksaw Blades (assorted 3pk) - Product # 057-7493 (includes 18, 24, and 32 TPI)

Q: Can someone be more specific (maybe show step by step pictures) as to how to change the blades on this? I read the answer above but I'm still confused. I'm assuming I turn the black knob left to loosen it but what is the "starred" piece that's mentioned?

    1 Answer
    • A: The part connected to the knob. There's a picture from other customer "Curled Data".

    • A: 1 – loose the big black plastic knob and push the “starred” out 2 – turn the “starred” piece to the angle you want 3 – put the blade on 4 – tighten the big black plastic knob If the starred can’t push out, it may be defective.
