Q: How safe is this material? Does anyone know what these tiles are made of? I have them in my 8mth old daughter's play area and I'm wondering what this stuff is...it smells kinda strong even after airing out.

A: I wouldn't put them on a heated floor, I would think that would activate the toxins.

A: I don't see why they can't be used outdoors, they are waterproof and dirt proof. I wouldn't leave them outside in the snow and ice though. Each tile has a pattern on them, kind of like a non-slip pattern, so I don't imagine they are slippery when wet. Actually, they'd probably be perfect outdoors, especially on the patio to replace a patio carpet.

Q: Do they stick to the floor? And what is the depth?

A: I've had mine in my on-deck three season (covered) deck room for over a year, even in over 40 degree C temperatures and they have not stuck to the floor. Depth (height of each panel from floor to top of panel) is about 1/2 inch.

Q: Can more than 4 be hooked up? The picture shows it but the picture of a single tile shows 2 solid sides

A: Yes, the flooring is completely modular and can be built out as much as a customer wants. Each pack of tiles comes with finishing borders that can be added on whenever a border is desired, but all of the tiles can connect with other packs of the same type.

Q: Are all the pieces in one box the same color? Can I select the color I want in a box? Or do I have to buy the assorted colors?

A: You get 4 tiles, one of each colour. There are 2 different options, RGBY or a set of four pastel colours like purple, orange, etc.
