    A must for car painting

I used this to clean my spray gun after painting a car and to clean up some overspray. I prefer it to laquer thinner, which is a a little cheaper, but the laquer thinner eats into plastic trim and can destroy it. Money well spent.

Q: Did anyone try removing Gorilla glue residue using this product?

    1 Answer
    • A: Unfortunately we are not privy to all consumer uses of our products. We have not had this question before or seen any comments around this usage. We can tell you Acetone is a very aggressive solvent and will affect most surfaces it touches.

    Q: Will it disolve plastic?

    1 Answer
    • A: There are all kinds of plastics. If a particular plastic bears a close enough similarity to acetone, the acetone will dissolve or at least affect its surface, softening, smearing or even dissolving the plastic. Other plastics, dissimilar to acetone, will remain unaffected by the solvent.

Q: Why does this acetone leave a white residue? When evaporated in a clean glass dish, a thin white residue remains at the bottom. Since this is pure acetone, what could explain this? Thanks

    1 Answer
    • A: Thank you for your question. Acetone will leave no residue as it is a pure solvent. Most likely the dish was containment initially and the acetone dissolved this residue (as it is an excellent solvent) which was then re-deposited once dried.
