Perfect Cage for My Cat

I bought 2 sets of these to build a cage for my cat after her spay surgery. It worked out perfectly! I put it all together with zip ties and used binder clips to make an access door. She had more than enough room for her bed, litter box, food/water and still had room to play. Since I only needed to put her in it when I couldn't supervise her and only for a few days, I couldn't bring myself to spend over $150 for a real cage. Now that I don't need the cage anymore I can build it as cube shelving as it's intended purpose. Win win!

The dimensions on this are 14.5" x 14.5". Annoying since we had an area set up based on the size in the descripton.

Great for display

I purchased these to make a portable display that I could use to show my products for craft fairs, etc. I bought 2 in order to put them together in a stair-step design, and then went back for 2 more the next time they came on sale because they work so well for my purposes! They are stylish but still allow me to see through them and don't detract from the display products. They are easy to put up and down, and store in a small area for transport. The only thing is that they cannot take much weight, or the wire starts to bend. If you're using these for portable display, they're great; for storage, they'd only work for very light items.

Q: how much weight does one cube support

A: You are using a "trick" to move the weight out to the very edges. If you did not do this the horizontal grid would bend and with enough weight would pull the grid out of the plastic connectors. I tried to place a single ream of paper onto a grid (as you would normally store it) and the grid bent. Removing the ream I had to bend the grid flat again.

Q: Can the four cubes be connected to another four cubes? If I bought two sets can i connect them all together?

A: Yes they can. The plastic joiners work in all directions so you can assemble up / down, left / right or a combination of both. Just beware of the height and weight when stacking higher as the bottom cubes may not support all the weight above.

A: Once you assemble you can also disassemble it (with some force). The connectors may be plasitc, but they're pretty sturdy!

Q: DO YOU GET 4 CUBES FOR $24.99 IN THE BOX OF 1 CUBE? WHAT IS THE THICKNESS OF THE WIRE OR GUAGE AND WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THE SPACE BTW THE WIRE?

Q: How can I tell if the white one is in stock? How can I tell if the white color is in stock at my chosen Canadian Tire location? Currently it just tells me how many are in stock, but does not indicate if these are the black or white ones.
