Tension release needs work

Very sturdy unit. Pulls solidly. Took me a minute to figure out after reading the instruction leaflet, but was pretty simple after that. Only issue was that the tension release function didn’t quite release the catch, so I had to do it by engaging at the end of a stroke then disengaging and holding the handle as it released the tension, repeating until I could detach the unit from the load. This was a little tedious and probably a little risky but it gone the job done.

Could pull 7000 lbs truck to auto dolly!

I bought this on urgent situation where I was in need for a winch to pull my broken truck on an auto dolly, to be honest I was so desperate that I thought to give it a try. To my surprise it worked!! I could pull my 7000 lbs truck to the auto dolly without complaint. Not saying it's something that can be done on a regular basis, but it could be done once at least.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: is it enough strong to... hi my question is: is this enough strong to lift an engine? there the Horizontal pulling capacity but does it apply also to the vertical capacity? i need something to lift an 4 cylinder in-line engine. looking forward for an answer, thanks

A: the vertical is the same as the horizontal because its measuring force its independent of vector. It will work just fine to lift 2 ton in any direction, and it can pull a 5 ton truck horizontally because your only dragging it and not lifting it same way you can push the same truck if its in neutral.

Q: If you lift something heavy (vertically) can you bring it back down slowly in a controled way or is it free falling?

A: The hoist puller is just for horizontal pulling ,not applicable for lifting something heavy (vertically). If you want to lift something heavy (vertically), we have sku 0618151,0618152,0618202 and 0618203 for your choice.
