I bought this lamp with an in store rebate as it was an open box item. I took a chance on it and I'm glad I did. All the parts were there and assembly takes 5 minutes. Yes the parts are not top notch (mostly plastic and thin metal) but once assembled, it looks good and because it has 2 lamps with separate switches, I find it practical. The base is weighted and holds the whole thing with no wobble. I've got a 60 watt incandescent bulb on top and a 9W LED lamp on the side lamp. Illumination is good and about equal in intensity. I might put an equivalent of 100W equivalent LED bulb on top to give it more punch. One thing of note: I had to pull the power cord through the base because if I didn't I would not have been able to assemble the top section as the electric cord was pulled through the different sections and the base only had about 3 feet left. If you get one like mine, pull the cord through the base to take up the slack for assembly of the top part of the stem. For 45$ what more could I want ? It does what it is intended to do and looks stylish if not luxurious.

Q: How tall is this lamp, including top shade? Trying to determine if it will fit in a lower ceilinged basement apartment. Specs say 6 ft, but does that include top shade? If someone could measure their lamp from floor to top of shade and get back to me that would be great. Thanks.
