You need a sound bar to help as per on the tv it’s not that great, online we may find help for better adjustments and all features are great

Worst TV ever!

Don't buy this garbage! I bought it from Canadian Tire 2 years ago and it has never worked well. However, a month ago it stopped working and every time we turn on the TV we have to put the login and password to connect to the wi-fi. I have sent emails to Seiki but they have never replied. I called them and they said "Ohhh that's unfortunate, your TV is broken and there's no way to fix it. Also, we don't have any technical support in Canada". That's not a smart TV. I have a Samsung and it has been working great for the past 4 years.

Don't buy it!

I knew that this TV had bad speakers before purchase by reading reviews. I compromised with a sound bar, and bought the TV in Nov. 2015 . Just one month after the warranty expired it started disconnecting the internet when I watched movies on Netflix. I contacted Seiki customer services quite a few times on the phone. Finally they figured out that my TV was defective. They told me that they could do nothing because the warranty ended. Who made that TV? I was still watching TV because once in a while Netflix was O.K. Now less than two years after my purchase, the TV even doesn't start. My Visio smart TV which I purchased almost the same time is still working perfect.

Poor Customer Service

I purchased a 42" Seki HD TV in late August. The first day I was curious if I could connect directly to Google through their WiFi system, so I e-mailed the company's customer service. Since then I have e-mail twice and still no reply. I certainly hope the product is more reliable than their response. I wonder what will happen if the product breaks before warranty ends?

R : Évidemment, si vous cherchez la qualité sonore sur un téléviseur plat, vous devriez considérer l'achat d'une barre de son ou un système cinéma maison via fibre optique ou autre... plein d'options sont possible. Évidemment le son des haut parleurs n'a rien de surprenant mais je l'utilise sur un PC connecté sur un gros cinéma maison.

Q : How can I complete my wireless connection? I do not broadcast my network (wifi) name. The TV menu allows a network search which comes up as "other" then allows me to input my network (wifi) name and access code but then it will not allow me to complete the process and connect to my network.

R : The WiFi service does NOT support WEP encryption. You must use WPA, or use no password at all, on your WiFi network to connect wirelessly. I did get it to connect with a hidden SSID (You have to type in the name with the remote. The name is case sensitive meaning it has to match exactly: eg - "MyNet" is not the same as "Mynet")
