Q: Where do I find ...or how do I get....a replacement blade for my 18in snow shovel? ... if this is marketed as a selling feature (a replaceable ice blade) you would think that you would also carry them or make it easy to find them...
3 years agoA: Thanks for the response Garant I am talking about the removable and replaceable ice strip (doesn't seem to show on this model) but it is a bright yellow nylon bar that attaches with 5 bolts on the bottom edge of the shovel.

Q: How come all your 18 inch snow shovels have a steel wear strip? A steel wear strip is essential for quickly and efficiently scooping frozen snow on the pavement. Wouldn't you agree?
4 years agoA: I bought a slightly narrower Yardworks shovel two years before that had a steel wear strip to replace an all plastic shovel I had for over 10 years that finally broke in some wet snow. I didn't like the shovel. It didn't do as good a job as the old all plastic shovel and it made a lot of noise while doing it. I got this shovel without a steel strip last year, and I am very happy with it. Yes, it shows some signs of wear after a year of use, but that doesn't effect how well it does the job. I don't find the one with steel edge does that great a job with ice or frozen snow either. For that I loosen the ice with a garden spade, and then scoop it up with the 18 inch shovel without the steel wear strip.
