WAY too delicate for Canadian winters
astonishingly fragile: literally on my first use, i hit an unseen chunk of frozen slush or something and BAM - broken impeller. for what it costs, it shouldn't be this delicate.
No, I do not recommend this product.

What a waste of money

Don't waste your money, more of an effort than shoveling

The snow thrower performed exactly as you would expect it to.. It handled the light snow with no issues whatsoever. It was very easy to assemble and light weight to use. I recommend this product for small walkways and light snow removal.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Decent, but only good for paved drive/walk-ways
8 years ago
Assembly was quick and easy and the unit is light enough to carry around with one hand. It does a decent job of clearing light to medium snow, however has problems with heavy/wet snow, if there is more than a few centimeters. Definitely liked using it and saving my back and arms when comparing it to using a regular snow shovel. There are however a couple issues i have with it. Because the scraper blade sits right on the ground and can't be adjusted in height, your driveway needs to be a paved one or the unit will catch on every little bump. on my deck it caught on every deck board that was a bit higher than the next. For completely even/smooth surfaces it works great, but for use on walkways with patio stones, decks or unpaved driveways i would not recommend this unit. Second issue is the impeller - it's one piece made out of plastic. It survived so far the two times i used the thrower, but i don't see it lasting long if you have any ice chunks in your snow or compacted snow.

Q: is the blow directional?
many of these style blowers only blow forward. Does this have any directional control as to where the snow goes ... if it does, I'm in for one for sure.

A: Yes, you can direct the snow slightly left or right with a crank handle that changes the direction of vanes in front of the discharge. However, if you read my review of the product you will know that I do not recommend this product at all due to the fact that it is not robust enough to stand up to even the lightest use.

Q: Is this self propelled or do I have to push it?
2 Answers
A: You have to push it. After three uses and a broken impeller belt it became no better than and slightly harder to use than a push shovel for me.

Q: Is this cordless?

2 Answers
A: No, not cordless. But, if you buy this piece of junk at least you'll have a nice extension cord for other uses after the impeller belt breaks like it did on mine after three light uses. I would really try to discourage you from wasting your money on this product.

A: Have you press IN the "Breaker" button on the unit?
Was it plugged on a GFI Breaker in the Electric Panel or outside outlet?

Q: Can you adjust the blow distance?
This thing is great, but it shoots the snow 10ft. high and 10ft long, when I only need 5 ft. (wind blows it onto my neighbours driveway). Is there anyway to adjust the blowing distance? Is there a user manual out there somewhere?

A: Sorry! there is no adjustment on that model.
You may want to upgrade to a larger electric unit.

Q: I need replacement part 3290198 for the Yardworks snow thrower #060-3982-0. Or the other company greenworks calls it 26022 snow thrower. If you do not carry it could you send me the size so I can find an alternative belt.
