Product Details

  • New and innovative - you can rely on the Yardworks 3500W/4200W Generator With Remote Start to supply your power needs, from the jobsite to emergencies and more

  • First generator in the industry with a start promise: will start within 2 electric start attempts down to -15°C/5°F (-5°C/23°F with remote start)

  • Wireless remote start feature allows you to start the generator as far away as 80' (24.3m), from inside or outside your house, RV or cottage, with a remote control

  • Oversized engine runs in a lower power range that extends the life of the engine through less wear and lower temperature

  • Handy fuel life meter on the display panel shows you how many hours of run time is remaining based on the power being used

  • Oversized (19 L / 5 gallon) fuel tank allows for longer periods of time between refills, so you will not have to tend to the generator as often as with other generators

  • With low oil shutdown, should the engine be low on oil for any reason, the engine will automatically shut down to protect the engine from being destroyed

  • Unique design of this generator puts all starting features (electric start switch, fuel ON/OFF, choke, manual pull cord) on the same side for ease of use

  • To balance the generator better during movement, the wheels are positioned forward (toward the handle)

  • This heavy duty generator is equipped with 224cc engine, outlet covers, 1.25" tubular steel frame, never-flat wheels and cushion-grip handle

  • Provides 13 hours of runtime @ 50% load

  • 3500W running, 4200W surge

  • Kit includes: generator, wireless remote key fob, wheel kit, oil funnel, battery and battery charger

    Excellent Generator

I bought this generator in 2017. Great. Just keeps going. Only one minor issue. Spring came off that was attached to the carburetor. Minor repair. Had a power outage a few years back. Lasted for 8 days. The generator ran continuously for the whole time. Just added gas when needed. Anyway this has been an excellent product. Thumbs up. Oh! Never had to replace the battery either. Not bad for over 7 years.

Cold, dark, and alone in the bush. Not dependable.

First, the fuel guage/display panel stopped working. Next ,the pull start handle fell off despite the fact I only used the electric start function. Now, the output voltage is 37 volts ac. I used this generator for charging batteries only. Usually, one would replace fob batteries before the end of life of a piece of equipment. Tested ; JUNK, failed as warranty expired.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Works as needed

We bought this generator about 4 years ago now. It still works only issues we have with it is that it's heavy as heck, it's loud as a bloody blown alcohol car, and unable to find replacement parts for repairs! For instance, good luck finding replacement batteries, and if the remote won't start it, or the button on the outside won't start it, but still starts by pulling the cord, you likely need the starter solenoid. Been looking for one going on 6 months and haven't found one yet!

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 10 of 80 Questions

Q: Have this generator and it works well. Where can I find the instructions to replace the batteries in the Fob and what batteries the Fob takes?

    4 Answers
    • A: It takes two CR2016 button cell batteries. I've just changed mine. Remove the two screws on the fob with a Philips 001 size screwdriver. Lift the plastic button frame out of the way, then lift the electronic circuit board off its pegs. On the underside of the electronic circuit board is the battery holder. To remove the batteries, use something like a plastic or wooden toothpick (the blunt end, or snap it to make it blunt). The button cells are placed one atop the other. Push the top cell out from under the holder, pushing along the axis of the black-tipped 'legs' of the battery holder. The 1st battery will resist a little, as it is under clamping pressure of its holding cage. The 2nd one will simply fall out after that. Simply reverse the procedure to install, remembering that the positive (+) side of the button cell batteries BOTH face upwards away from the circuit board.

    • A: I have had mine for a couple of years. I always run it with both switches on. And i leave both switches on even when it is not running so that I can use the remote start.

Q: Is there a through wall muffler extension that can be purchased to allow this generator to be used while in a custom built enclosure that protects the generator from the elements yet allows exhaust to be released outside?

    2 Answers
    • A: I don’t think they sell an extension. It would be very hard to attach anything to the exhaust pipe. It’s very short. We installed ours in an enclosure by itself and put a screen opening beside the exhaust.

Q: I bought a Yardworks portable generator model# 055-0361-0 and it says there is a 12V Charger outlet. Does that mean it should have come with some sort of electrical adaptor to keep the battery topped up during down time? if so what would i need to get?
