Good for a few cuts

Bought this two years ago an used it two or three time, after that it wouldn't cut a toothpick. I have a stump in my yard an thought I would readjust the chain put new oil in and see if it would work, but I can't even get through the bark. How much to sharpen the blades on these?

I bought this saw 2 years ago and have cut several trees and branches since. I couldn't be happier! I was sceptical prior to purchasing but I have to say after two years of use I am very satisfied with this saw's performance.

I bought this saw, on sale, three years ago and used it to cut 8 x 8s and tree trunks. Very to easy to use with none of the headaches of a gas saw. For work around the house, this saw will perform effortlessly.

I get it on promotion. Very satisfy. It does drop some chain oil but it only happen to me when I put it down for certain time without using. No problem. I cut tree branches up to 20cm in diameter, it functions pretty good.

Q: I have an older model and the chain stopped turning. I removed the cover and the sprocket doesn't turn. I thought about taking it apart but when I checked online, I see there are problems to get parts. Does Yardworks sell parts?

Q: I bought this but am having some trouble getting the chain to have enough tension. I have owned it for a few yrs. It worked well in the beginning, then started leaking alot of oil, stopped working but now the chain is lagging.

A: Hi oiliveoyle. Thank you for your question. The chain will need to be tensioned periodically during use as sawing is a high friction use. Heat causes the chains to stretch and should be checked and tightened as needed. When tightening the chain, ensure to have a dime (coin) space when the chain is pulled away from bar. The unit should be stored with a loose chain so that when using next time the unit has be checked and any potential hazards or defects will be noticed. Q: Yardworks 10.5 A Electric Chainsaw, 14-in It keeps leaking bar oil all over the place when not in use, it drips out of the bottom of the unit. How can I fix this?

A: It is normal for the unit to slowly “leak” oil in storage. In order to prevent excessive leakage, store the unit with as little oil left in the reservoir as possible. Laying the chainsaw chainsaw flat on a rag will help absorb any excess oil. Please contact 1-877-888-3872 for further troubleshooting
