Great camera

Fairly easy to install but wires to the screen are very thin. Make sure you don’t mix up the power wire to the reverse light like I did Lol great price on sale.

horible example of technology. the picture froze, while i continued to back up and image did not update or fade away or anything, until i unpligged it. this persisted until i chose to no longer use it,
too dangerous

Barely useable

3 stars because it was easy to install, and it does work.
The quality is certainly questionable though.
With the screen turned up almost 100% brightness, you can still barely see what’s on the screen due to glare.
The camera definitely seems to struggle in sunlight as well.
I have it looking straight out, and when the sun is out in full force, you can’t rely on the image you’re seeing on the screen, as it’s so distorted with haze and shadows.
While reversing and looking at the screen, you can clearly see the video lag.
For the clearance price I got it for, I’ll keep it, but if I paid full price for this thing, it would be headed right back to the store.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Depuis 8 mois, j'ai branché ma caméra sur ''ignition'' et je l'utilise pour les dépassement sur autoroute, en traffic dense. C'est génial, il n'y a plus aucun angle mort. Il n'y a aucune contrainte a faire cela, seulement une période d'adaptation #habitudes de conduite# qui prend environ 1 mois pour être à l'aise. Si une voiture vous dépassant sur l'autoroute n'est pas dans la caméra, elle est donc visible à côté de vous... Évidemment, ce produit n'est pas vendu à cet effet...

Q: Can the camera be connected to tail light or licence plate light to be powered on full time as a rear view camera for driving, like a rear view mirror

A: Yes, your transmitter simply needs a power source. Normally this is when your reverse lights are on. I can't imagine why you would want this distraction while driving forward. I also think the insurance and laws would think this would be equivalent to texting and driving.

Q: Can the camera be removed from the car and put on the back of a camper temporarily, or is it permanent once installed?

A: I'm not a mechanic so my "layman's" answer would be that it would be quite a bit of work to do that. Perhaps if you cut the wire and put a male connector on one end and a female on the other and added an extension wire to reach the back of the camper, you could then move the camera to the camper. I'm not sure the bracket for the camera will come off the rear of the car/truck easily, and if it didn't you would then have a camera with no bracket for the back of the camper. If it were me, I'd wait until it is on sale and buy a second camera for the camper, with the wire extension kit, and extra wire.

A: You hook up the transmitter to your reverse lights using the wire clamps provided. It took me about 12 minutes to do it.

A: Il faudrait que tu branches la camera sur les Lumières de PARKING (feux de position). Par contre, le fabricant ne recommande pas cette méthode, car la caméra n'est pas conçu pour fonctionner en mode "continu". Tu allumes les feux de position et alors la caméra tombe en fonction.

Q: Are replacement cameras available? It is just over a year since I installed my camera, but it has quit working. When I put the vehicle in reverse the screen comes on but the only picture I get is the park assist lines.

A: Mine lasted 1 year and 9 months and stopped working completely and inexplicably. I think these are poor quality cameras.
