Woods Cascade 3-Season, 4-Person Camping Dome Tent w/ 2 Doors, Vestibules, Rain Fly & Carry Bag

Kind of disappointed with this one, Initially I was attracted to the large fly that reached to the ground and could be staked out which is required here on the west coast. Unfortunately the way this fly opens either requires that you either using the bottom zipper, necessitating a ground crawl or, using the top zipper which means which would normally be the correct method but this particular tent will dump water into the tent that collect at the top of the Fly. It’s like the person who designed this tent has never gone camping.

It's a great tent. I purchased the 4-person in 2016 and still use it to this day in 2025. The best feature of this tent is how easy it is to set up and tear down. It's extremely easy for one or two people to set up. It takes maybe five minutes to set up. It consists of two primary aluminum poles that clip onto the tent. No fabric tunnels to force the poles through. I absolutely love how easy it is to set up this tent. Even throwing the fly on in the middle of the night is super quick and easy. The fly attaches to the tent by 4 plastic clip/ buckles that are really great. You can't find an easier tent to set up. The design and materials are really good too. The tent fits a queen sized air bed perfectly. The queen air bed with nice bedding transforms this tent into a little palace. The tent's made with good mesh that holds up over time. I'd only recommend being mindful of your camp fires as the flying ash can melt little holes in the mesh if they land on it. The fly is made with heavy gauge nylon. When comparing to higher quality tents, this tent has equal to or better nylon for the fly and floor. The waterproofing is also good. Again, comparing to higher quality tents this tent has equal to or better water resistance. Over the years, mine hasn't dripped through the top. Still water resistant to this day. The floor was water proof up until last year. I always set this tent up on a tarp but It has started letting water up through the floor now. Overall, the materials and quality is very good for the price. You can expect at least five good years out of this tent. You can't find a better quality tent for the price (get it on sale). I like the two doors, they're easy to zip and unzip. Good zippers too. The doors offer good airflow when you have the fly on. There's enough of a vestibule space with the fly to store shoes and sandals. The tent has good pockets too and I really like the clip on net shelf for the top of the tent. It's a great place to put a downward facing light at night or store things for easy access. I've backpacked with this tent on a three day 40 Km rugged hike. It was good and was great for set ups but it's a bit heavy. I also used it once for an overnight Winter camp in Killarney. It went down to -7. The tent performed well for being a 3-season tent. I typically sleep just two people in this tent but you could do three. It would be shoulder to shoulder with four people. I'm 5'11" and I can stretch out perfectly on the queen mattress. I recently purchased the same tent but in 2-person for lightweight camping and it's just as good. Much better for long distance. Overall, I highly recommend this tent. It's extremely easy to set up and tear down, it's made with equal to or better quality materials than brand name tents, it's super reliable and comfortable. Match it up with a queen sized airbed and nice bedding and you'll want to stay in it all day. For the price you pay (on sale) there's no way you can be disappointed. It's a great tent.

Just bought recently the 4 people option, it doesn’t worth the price, with than a hundred dollars you can buy similar tent. I camp months per year in many different weather conditions and definitely this one I wouldn’t recommend for windy and cold conditions.

This is the best bang for your buck if you're looking for a tent this size. The PU rating for the fly and the floor are sufficiently above the industry standard but I still recommend spraying 2 full cans of Woods protection on it before doing anything after you've inspected your purchase, of course. It's downfall will be the cheap zippers, unfortunately.
