Two light coats applied to my ‘95 K1500 tail lights and it looks great. Prep with a good cleaning, a light scuffing with a Scotch pad then a wipe down with methyl hydrate then apply coating.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: I know that this is for automotive use, but can it tint a face shield?

Q: Was curious, how well it holds up against being power washed?

A: Nite Shades should have no problem at all when holding up to being pressure washed. The coating etches itself into plastic very well and is usually very difficult to remove.

Q: Do i need to remove my tail lights to apply it?

A: It would be easier if the tail lights were removed before application. However, if the you tape off the area around the lens you could paint them on the vehicle.

Q: I have read a lot of reviews that mention they finished off with a layer or more of clear coat. Is there a special NightShade clear coat, or will any spray clear coat do?

A: The VHT Nite Shades does not require clear coat or recommend one. Some customer's have had success using an enamel clear coat. But again, this application is not required and would have to be tested per application.
