Don’t use cool wet climate

This product will not cure on Vancouver Island during the wet season. Product was applied and left to cure for 15 hours in early December. There was no difference from when it was applied to when it was checked 15 hours later.

Hello Jerry, thank you for your feedback. For optimal performance while using the VersaChem Exhaust Joint & Crack Sealer it is imperative that the exhaust system be cold before beginning the repair. Use sandpaper or a wire brush to remove any loose rust or dirt and apply the sealer liberally around the joint/cracks and let it sit for 2-4 hours with full cure time at 24 hours.

Q: VersaChem® Exhaust Joint & Crack Sealer, 142-g #038-3753-2 It says it sets like a weld, I need to seal a leak at a flange. How would I remove this product to clean up the joint for a new gasket in a few months when I have time to fix it?

A: Flanges are usually flexible and this dries hard so it would crack on a flange, you could try it, you just have to chip away at it when it comes to removing it.
