Lightweight, compact and easy to manoeuvre
Easy to read sight window allows operator to readily see the gasoline level, so that they know when it is time to refill again
Remote side to side chute control allows you to distribute the snow from one side to another

hot garbage

bought it 3 weeks ago. the chute never locks into position. the rubber on the auger wears extremely fast. after 3 weeks it won't even clear 3 inches of light fluffy snow without stopping the auger from spinning, no matter how slow you go. will be returning it, because for 900 bucks it is absolute trash

Love this blower.

I bought this blower 5 years ago and would buy it again.Good to check it over for loose bolts or sheared off bolts from hitting curbs etc (yearly}I use a honda blower at work and my troy built(Home use) often out performs the honda and there chute adjustment is a pain.

It just goes and goes, first pull starts, havn't seen any amount of snow last few years it couldn't easily handle. Even the several feet at end of driveway the plows leave behind it eats through with ease.
Same powerful bullet proof 208cc engine as the two stage throwers use and after it is broken in it uses so little fuel it is shocking. It is easy and fun to use, clears a lot of snow in a fraction of the time and energy compared to shoveling, and well worth the cost in saving time, enormous energies, and like I said it is even fun to use.

Excellent little machine

I just bought this snowblower yesterday, and I used it on 2 day old snow/ice.
It has the exact same 208 cc motor as competitor brands, at a higher cost.
I'm very impressed with the ease of cleaning and maneuvering this machine around.
I put it through a pile of 3 feet of snow, and it broke it down nicely, and eventually cleaned it all.
Machine is very simple to assemble the remaining parts, and it is very easy to use.

A: Single stage snow throwers gather and throw the snow in one motion. The heavy duty rubber aguers clean right down to the surface (not suitable for gravel drives), and provide forward pulling motion to make quick work of snowfalls up to 11".

A: Yes, it should fit fine in an SUV. I had no problems putting in the back of my Subaru Forester. A smaller SUV would likely be tight though.

Q: How do you stop the snowthrower chute from slipping and changing angle? Regardless of how much you tighten the handle, the chute changes angle while throwing snow.

A: I haven't had that problem with the 2013 model. They must have improved this years chute design. The chute angle stays put in whatever angle I secure it in, even with heavy snow. And I'm not torqueing the screw really tight either.

A: It says made in the USA on the box. On the Troy-bilt web site it says that they use Power More engines. The Power More engines are made in China.
