only had this stove a week but....

I do like this stove but now that I have it not but sure if I would buy it if I did more research. I was taken by a low price and bought it right away for fear it might be gone before I researched it. First thing right off after researching it they don't seem to make It any more .... and when I unpacked it found it was made in 2014! This is a bit vexing. Couple things I can tell you right away is make sure your chimney is a minimum of 15 feet long as per the manual or you won't have enough draft. Second is the fan if very noisy and not that good at blowing the heat. I like the big window it is sweet. The quality of the welding is excellent. However, the brick layout is poor. The bricks are two stories high and not supported very good.

No, I do not recommend this product.

A: the Smartstove term is used because the stove has an automatic air setback that is used to allow the user to load the unit get it fired set the AAS control and walk off. when the stove reaches re-burn temperatures the setback automatically engages and sets the air controls for the optimum burn rate. the unit does not require electricity to burn, though it does need 110 VAC to power the blower that is included but does not need to be used for the stove to function
