    Good heat, lousy customer service

Installed this stove in Oct this year. Puts out great heat once hot. Have an issue with the door handle being loose. Customer service SUCKS. I will never buy another one of these just bc of that. Now I have a leaky door with no direction how to fix it except to purchase a new door. Idiotic.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Terrible Stove. Don't buy it.

We bought this stove 6 weeks ago - since day one, it has been the most terrible wood stove we have ever owned (we have owned several!). It dumps A LOT of smoke and ash into the house, the high burn setting - is really just a smoulder. To get to the fire started, you need to leave the door open to get enough oxygen flow to start the fire. We would never buy another stove from this company again.

    Slow starter but strong finisher.

Purchased this to heat our 800 sqft cabin. As our winters are long and cold, figured bigger is better. This unit is not small nor light - takes several strong men to wrestle into place. Seems that it takes a while for this to start producing heat (couple hours) but once it does, it produces a lot even after fire embers down. Able to keep a 22 to 25 degree inside temp by burning one small log at a time once room reaches temp. The large viewing glass is very nice, however does soot up if you run the fire damped down such as an overnight burn. I've found it's quite common to have enough embers in the morning for an easy restart. My previous word burner was a Newmac 10hr burner, and this has much greater heat output and firebox can maintain the burn for about 70% as long. Very pleased with this stove overall.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: What is the weight of the stove and pedestal

    • A: Just short of 500lbs. If you remove the door and firebrick it becomes not too hard to manouever. I could tip it on its side myself to install the optional feet.

    • A: I don't know whether this will help, but your query seems to indicate that the stove is difficult to get a fire going well in the firebox. This is very true, and it takes the proper sequence of steps to light the wood properly in the firebox. Follow the directions outlined in the manual carefully and the wood will ignite & maintain a burn once the stove heats up, after which it is really quite easy to keep going by adding even large pieces of wood. In many cases, people start a fire with kindling and dump large chunks of wood on top, then close the door and think that merely leaving the damper open should allow the wood to ignite thoroughly, but it dies out. The secret is to leave the door partly ajar, damper open, until the stove actually starts to warm up, after which the door can be shut, and in a minute or two, the damper can be adjusted to slow the burn rate down. In every case, an essential piece of equipment is a flue thermometer, an inexpensive magnetic stick-on which indicates the temperature of the flue gases.

Q: fresh air options Does this product provide a fresh air intake option also what is the pollution out put and over all effiency if installed with 6" insulated pipes. Also burn time if loaded.

    • A: The stove does have a fresh air intake: required for trailers. The overall efficiency is rated at 78%. Like many stoves, it burns dirty at low settings. Best burn time is 9-10 hours. Dirty burning conditions and poor heat output, though. With preferred settings you can expect a 4 hour burn.
